Step into Bliss: DIY Herbal Foot Scrub Recipe
Let’s indulge in a bit of self-care with this simple yet effective Herbal Foot Scrub.
In just a few easy steps, I’ve created a luxurious scrub perfect for me and for gifting to moms this Mother’s Day!
This foot scrub is especially beneficial for those in need of pampering, like gardeners who often forgo shoes and end up with inevitable dry and cracked heels. But, it works for everyone during sandal season, and it’s very safe for the littles that love to run around barefoot all summer!
Because, not only does it gently remove dirt, grime, and plant oils, but it also leaves my feet feeling like they’ve been pampered at a spa.
If you gift it, encourage the lucky recipient to place this invigorating scrub by the tub where they can delight in a soothing ritual of self-care as their feet luxuriate in the nourishing and exfoliating benefits of nature’s herbs!

INGREDIENTS
1 cup sugar (raw cane, brown, or coconut)
1/4 cup herbal-infused oil, olive oil, or melted coconut oil (I used a combination of violet, rose, and comfrey infused oil)
1/4 cup liquid Castile soap, unscented if using EOs, scented if not
15 drops of an essential oil or two (optional)
DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, the oil, and the Castile soap. Mix well until it forms a paste. Add the essential oils and stir well. Transfer the scrub to a clean pint-size glass jar, seal tightly, and keep by sink.
TO USE
Scoop out 1 tablespoon or so of scrub and gently rub into one foot at a time for about a minute. Rinse with warm water.
NOTE
The mixture will harden. However, in warm climates with temperatures above 80°F, the oil may melt, in which case you can store the scrub in the refrigerator.
ESSENTIAL OIL COMBOS
I like to play with: 1avender and mint, lavender and orange or lemon, rosemary and lemon, rose and lavender
