Herbal Underarm Cream Recipe: Natural & Effective DIY Solution
I don't know about you but I've bought my share of natural deodorants over the years and I can't say I've used anything I would recommend to a friend. So, I got inspired from a few DIY recipes and created this one. It's super lightweight and soft and blends right into the skin. It keeps me feeling dry and neutralizes odor, but that's not all it does. In the armpit, just under the skin, there are lymphs nodes, small bean-sized structures that are part of the body's immune system. To encourage and maintain a healthy flow of lymph in this area, I added calendula oil, our best gentle lymphatic remedy, to the recipe. What this cream is not, is an antiperspirant. Your body will still produce sweat under your arms because it should to rid the body of toxins. By letting our bodies do its thing naturally it helps reduce the amount of odor and wetness it produces over time.
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon of baking soda
1 tablespoon of bentonite clay
1/4 cup of arrowroot powder
2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
1 tablespoon of calendula herbal oil
DIRECTIONS
Measure out all the ingredients using non-metal utensils so you don't deactivate the clay. Mix dry ingredients first, add in the rest, and mix well. Add more aloe vera gel if mixer feels too dry.
Add to a glass jar or to a silicone squeeze tube. Keep the cream covered to maintain freshness. Remix occasionally. Lasts for about 4- 6 months.
