Soothing Solution: Hot Herbal Infusion for Menstrual Support
Let’s craft a hot infusion designed to support a more peaceful menstrual cycle.
In this aromatic blend, we bring together a unique combination of herbs carefully curated to address both physical discomfort and emotional well-being during menstruation.
The effects upon the female reproductive system with this combination of herbs are:
Chamomile for its bitter tonic effects stimulating menses, relieving cramping, calming the nervous system to settle PMS symptoms, and moving liver stagnation that can get overwhelmed with processing hormones, as does Lavender + Fennel.
Passionflower has two main effects. Firstly, it helps with the spasms and tension in the uterus during menstruation. Secondly, it acts as a calming remedy for the mind and nerves, promoting a soothing effect.
Lavender helps reduce cramping by relaxing the uterine tissue associated with cramping during menstruation. It also supports mental health, addressing stress and anxiety, which, in turn, balances the reproductive tissues on a holistic level.
St. John’s Wort for its relaxing of the nervous system, and directly restorative to a worn down nervous system, as well as uplifting to the spirit.
Fennel helps ease muscle spasms in the uterus. It acts as a calming agent for the uterine muscle, making it useful for relieving menstrual cramps or other spasms linked to tense or irritable uterine muscles.

I used: 1 tablespoon of each herb + 4 cups of water. I infused for 15-20 minutes, covered. When ready, I drank it all and reused the herbs for a second infusion later that same day.
The rest is in your hands!
