Skin Reviving Elixir
Let’s make a skin reviving elixir with nettle and hibiscus.
Nettle has a nutrient, rich profile building blood and purifying it. General detoxification and purification of the body through the liver. It modulates the bodies inflammation processes and brings a flow of fresh oxygenated blood loaded with nutrients like iron protein, chlorophyll, vitamin C, dietary fiber, potassium, silica, and calcium, among others.
Hibiscus contains numerous flavonoids that are proven to support the production of hyaluronic acid and glucosaminoglycans both regulating cell growth, proliferation, promotion of cell adhesion, anticoagulation, and wound repair. both together, they are nature’s multitasker!
Ingredients:
• 1 part dried hibiscus flowers
• 1 part dried nettle leaves
• 1 part apple cider vinegar
• honey (to taste)
Instructions:
>In a glass jar, combine the dried hibiscus flowers and dried nettle leaves.
>Pour the ACV over the herbs in the jar.
>Seal the jar with a lid and let it sit in a cool, dark place for about 2 to 4 weeks.
>You can shake the jar gently every day.
>After the infusion period, strain the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean jar or container.
>Add honey to taste, and stir well until it’s fully dissolved.
>Store the hibiscus and nettle elixir in a cool, dark place.
Note: Consider taking a small dose daily or as needed.
To use: For an adult, a common dosage is 1 to 2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) per day.
