Herbal Lemonade: Fennel, Tulsi, Mugwort, and Ginkgo

This recipe combines the unique flavors and health benefits of fennel, Tulsi, mugwort, and ginkgo biloba with the refreshing zest of lemon juice and the natural sweetness of maple syrup or honey. Enjoy this invigorating and nourishing beverage!

Fennel for digestive, liver, and gastrointestinal system support, muscular relaxation

Tulsi for adaptogenic (manage stress) properties, immune and digestive support, insulin metabolism

Mugwort for digestive and liver support, calming aid

Ginkgo for cognitive enhancement, circulatory health, metabolism support

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 cups Fennel, Tulsi, Mugwort, and Ginkgo Biloba infusion

  • 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup (or adjust to your desired sweetness level; honey can be substituted)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Herbal Infusion:

    • Boil 3 1/2 cups of water.

    • Add a blend of fennel, Tulsi, mugwort, and ginkgo biloba herbs. Use about 1 tablespoon of each herb.

    • Allow the herbs to steep for 15-20 minutes.

    • Strain the infusion and let it cool.

  2. Mix the Lemonade:

    • In a large pitcher, combine the cooled herbal infusion with 1 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice.

    • Add 1/2 cup of maple syrup (or honey) to the pitcher, adjusting to your preferred sweetness level.

    • Stir well to combine all ingredients.

  3. Serve and Enjoy:

    • Pour the lemonade over ice in individual glasses. Or, put in refrigerate to make cold.

    • Garnish with lemon slices or fresh mint, if desired.
